Senior Principal Engineer – Mechanical Design

European Recruitment are currently looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join one of the worlds largest technology solution manufacturers at their site in Vienna, Austria. This is a highly technical and hands-on position leading multiple design teams through full product development into production.

What we’re looking for in you:

• Mechanical Engineering Degree (BSME/MSME/PHD or equivalent)
• In-depth knowledge and use of key development tools and design standards: 3D CAD, Finite Element Analysis, Tolerances, GD & T, Advanced Manufacturing Principles, Interference Checks
• Broad knowledge developing high complexity projects that have required multiple Mechanical Engineering Design specializations or competencies: Tolerance Analysis, DFM (Design for Manufacturing), DFA (Sesign for Assembly), Serviceability
• Coordinates with professional networks to answer unique issues related to Industry or specific sector, regulatory and safety standards.

The role:

• Leads system architecture analysis and clarify design requirements to define the appropriate Mechanical/Thermal architecture for the design team in multiple industries
• Delivers solutions that require multiple Mechanical design expertise across multiple ME competencies.
• Leads multiple Product Development Design and validation on significantly challenging and unique product applications across multiple industries concurrently.
• Train/coach other engineers in design analysis and tools

This is a highly technical position with a chance to work with a leading name in technology advancements in a very Senior role.
