Junior Scientist – Computer Vision / Machine Leaning / PhD / 2D/3D Images / SLAM / Object Detection / Deep Learning

We are recruiting for a Junior Scientist with experience (industry or Academic) in Computer Vison and Machine Learning to join our client onsite in the Paris area.

Our client is the world leader in video-based pedestrian detection solutions for industrial machinery and vehicles and as a Junior Scientist you will be focused on addressing customers requirements by proposing and prototyping new computer vision, machine learning, deep learning

and/or image/video processing based algorithms and define and implementing the required software and/or hardware infrastructure needed for Computer Vision and Machine/Deep Leaning training, testing and real-time utilization.

This role is ideally suited for fresh or soon to be PhD graduates.

Required skills:

• PhD degree Computer Science, Robotics or related quantitative fields, with specialization on Computer Vision
• Experience using Computer Vision frameworks
• Experience in using 2D images and 3D images
• Experience manipulating and analyzing video data for machine learning purposes
• Ability to communicate complex subjects both in writing an orally and have a good grasp of task feasibility and effort
• Solid English language skills

Desired skills:

• Embedding machine learning inference algorithms
• SLAM algorithms
• Object detection using 3D images
• Training deep learning algorithms
• Online real-time computer vision applications
• French language

Please note, you must have completed a PhD at a French University and you cannot have worked in a permanent role after graduating.

If you do not have a PhD or have worked in a permanent role after graduation, you can not be considered.
