Audio DSP R&D Engineer

ABOUT THE JOB:
• Fast and efficient at moving from audio DSP concept code to product grade solutions ready for integration;
• Fluent in floating point and fixed point signal processing software coding (From Python/Matlab to fixed point C to assembly optimization), you will work on productizing DSP concepts into platform ready libraries;
• At ease with simulators and development kits/boards you may have to validate on platform, or optimize for certain cores in order to minimize footprint without compromising quality and reliability;
• Familiar with acoustics and audio DSP in general, you will have to understand audio and acoustics concepts in order to challenge and test them thoroughly;
• Disciplined and creative about designing unit and functional tests that you will need to integrate and monitor within an automated DevOps framework;
• You may have to coach and support more junior profiles to help grow a coherent and efficient DSP team build the best products.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• PhD or MSc in engineering with +5 years experience into porting and productising audio DSP solutions;
• Good communication skills to work with the rest of the multi-cultural team;
• Excellent discipline and coding skills;
• Taste for audio and team work;
• Experience in working agile (scrum);
• A taste for clean and reusable code;
• Proficient in Python, Matlab, C float, C fixed;
• At ease with ARM tools.

PREFFERED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Past algorithm design experience;
• ARM SIMD optimization skills;
• Machine Learning and data processing experience;
• Entrepreneur/Start-up mindset;
• Software Architecture experience.
