Automotive Functional Safety Engineer – Consultant/Freelance role

This contract role is initially 6 months long but will almost certainly extend further – during the current situation you can start working remotely but will be required onsite once travel opens up in Europe

Our client is looking for an Automotive Functional Safety Engineer to join their team in Brussels

• Analyse currently available computer vision algorithms and propose effective ways to implement them on dedicated hardware architectures
• Define SW functional safety concept and support definition of the functional safety plan
• Define SW designs, implementation and verification methods to achieve functional safety standards
• Create, maintain and review work products according to ISO 26262
• Create appropriate functional safety SW development guidelines and impart training to team members

QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience in developing/deploying SW components with an Automotive OEM or Tier-1
• Experience in ISO26262/ Functional Safety area on SW level
• Deep understanding of complex embedded software systems
• Expee in Machine Learning/ Deep Learning domain
• You have ideally 3+ years industry experience in Automotive domain
• You have C++ programming skills
