Data Engineer – Java, Scala, Big Data

We are seeking a junior-mid level Data Engineer to join our client in London as part of their growing Consumer Cloud Service team.

You will be responsible for employing Big Data solutions and building the ETL pipelines that power the lifecycle of their product operation – including search, recommendation and personalization.

The successful candidate should demonstrate the following skills:

• BSc or higher in Computer Science, Mathematics or similar.
• 2+ years experience in Big Data – ideally using Java or Scala
• Experience of Cloudera or Hortonworks.
• Experience with SQL
• Solid foundation with algorithms and data structures.
• Experience with Tableau / Data visualization tools would be highly desirable.
• Fluent in English.
