DataBase Developer – SQL

A leading British technology client is searching for a DataBase Developer to join their tools and automation web application team based in Hertfordshire.

Your role as the DataBase Developer will be primarily focused on providing support for efficiently fetching, analysing and displaying validation data from both relational and NoSQL databases.

The required skills for the DataBase Developer are:
• Strong SQL skills, preferably with experience of MySQL

Desired Skills for the DataBase Developer (not essential but strongly preferred):
• Experience of NoSQL database systems such as Elasticsearch
• Experience handling/data mining large data sets
• Good understanding of web programming, especially PHP

• The successful candidate will have some of the following skills:
• Strong Relational Database skills – MySQL, MSSQL or Oracle
• NoSQL database skills
• Web programming, particularly PHP and JavaScript
• Doctrine ORM for PHP
• Bootstrap
• Python
• Server administration
• Excellent communications skill
• Experience of working with computer graphics
• Experience of creating and using REST/SOAP web services
• Experience of high level operating systems – especially Android, Linux
• Experience of virtualisation technologies such as HyperV, Xen and Qemu
