Experienced Automotive Engineer — Vehicle Integration

Based in Munich and you will be working for one of the largest technology companies in the world and contribute to the strategy and development process as a member of our newly formed Mobile Data Center team  We are looking for Vehicle integration Engineers for System-on-Chip (SoC) architectures to help with developing HW & SW platforms for future autonomous driving. We are looking for candidates who are curious about future trends of technology and hazard analysis.

 

Key responsibilities

  • Optimize our Mobile Data Center (MDC) platform architecture together with OEMs in the whole ecosystem
  • Coordinate the E/E integration with subsystems, such as IVI, HMI, central control panel and the telematics box, considering MCUs and sensors, interfaces, software and hardware aspects
  • Resolve cross-functional technical conflicts and vehicle attribute trade-offs (such as performance, compatibility, cost)
  • Guide preliminary system selection and interface concepts; ensure regulatory requirements and OEM-specific standards are met in the concept
  • Prepare technical specifications and documents for technology development by partners and suppliers
  • Execute vehicle integration development activities for systems and ECUs on new concepts for autonomous vehicles

 

Personal Specification

  • Master or higher degree of engineering/science, preferably in automotive systems
  • 8+ years of relevant experience in architecture design of vehicle E/E systems
  • Automotive industry background mandatory (Tier 1 experience desirable)
  • Experience in vehicle systems design knowledge of automotive product development and OEM processes knowledge of design such as AUTOSAR and ISO26262
  • Deep expertise in vehicle electrical systems; knowledge of CAN, Automotive Ethernet, FlexRay, LIN
  • Experience in security, communication and low-level subsystems for automotive systems
  • Experienced with capturing requirements in tools like IBM Rational DOORS or Sparx Enterprise Architect and with authoring high-level specifications
  • Willingness to travel abroad (up to 20% of time)
  • Must be eligible to work in the European Union to be considered for this position
