Lead Embedded Firmware Engineer – Low-Power / RFID /Bluetooth Low Energy

Our client is a leading Semiconductor company developing cutting edge Ultra-Low Power Integrated Circuits for the Wireless, Automotive and Industrial markets.

This client has a position based in Colorado Springs for an Lead Embedded Firmware Engineer who will be responsible for providing leadership and direction to the firmware development team.

What are the responsibilities in this Lead Embedded Firmware Engineer role?

• Provide leadership and direction to the firmware development team
• Perform system analysis, specification, design, implementation, verification, characterization, and documentation of complex embedded firmware
• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary stakeholders inside the company as well as key customers throughout the product development life cycle
• Mentors staff to develop key software development skills and capabilities.

What are the required skills in this Lead Embedded Firmware Engineer role?

• Technical leadership experience in a multi-site environment, including managing contractors
• Experience in implementing an embedded Agile workflow with continuous integration and test
• Development compliant with high quality standards such as for medical and automotive applications
• At least 8 years of hands on embedded firmware design, implementation and testing
• C and C++ languages running in microcontroller environments
• Real-time wireless embedded systems development and debug of bare metal and RTOS platforms

Preferable skills: experience in Low-power product development

Please note due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the client is currently working remotely. However once normality resumes there will be an expectation to work from the office in Colorado Springs.
