Lead Software Developer (Director level), Robotics

We are seeking a world-class Software Expert to work as a Lead Developer / Director of Software Engineering for our client in Cambridge, who are an innovative start-up working in the field of robotics.

This will be a strategic position, leading a small team of highly qualified software developers, and will involve managing the code. 

We need an individual who has an excellent track record in SW development, and a passion for robotics and AI / machine learning techniques.

The successful candidate should demonstrate the following skills

• MSc or higher in related field.
• Expert progamming experience in C++.
• Sound knowledge of robotics, in particular robot control system software.
• Experience developing safety-critical software.
• Passion for AI and machine learning, in a real-world setting.
• Experience technically leading and motivating a team of engineers.
• Fluent English.
