Research Scientist (Knowledge-Based Technologies, Knowledge Graphs etc)

Our client is a world leading Technology company, with massive investment into R&D they have now set up a new team in Edinburgh focusing on areas such as automatic knowledge acquisition, reasoning and NLP to help develop things like semantic search and question-answering dialog systems.

You would be part of a next generation R&D lab, working closely with contacts in Academia and Industrial partners as well as other internal sites across the world, with your work contributing to products used by millions of people around the globe.

Skills/Experience needed to be successful in the role:

• PhD in NLP, Machine Learning, Informatin Retrieval etc
• Proven experience working within NLP, semantic web, semantic search, knowledge engineering or other related fields
• Preferably having publications from top journals/conferences (ACL, NIPS, EMNLP, AAAI, IJCAI etc)
• Strong coding/software design skills
• Excellent problem solving and communication skills
