Senior Applied Scientist – Machine Learning / Natural Language Processing / PhD / Speech Recognition / Java / C++ / Python 

We are recruiting for multiple Senior Applied Scientists with experience in one of the following areas: Machine Learning/Federated Learning, Natural Language Processing, Speech Recognition or Computational Linguistics to joint our client working on fully remote basis.

Our client is a globally known tech company, and as a Senior Applied Scientist you will be responsible for developing novel algorithms and modelling techniques to advance the state of the art in speech and audio processing and leverage heterogeneous data sources and large-scale computing resources to accelerate advances in spoken language understanding

Required skills:

• PhD degree with 4 years of applied research experience or a Masters’ degree and 6+ years of experience of applied research experience
• Google Scholar H-index of above 10
• 3+ years of experience of building machine learning models for business application.
• Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related language

Desired skills

• A PhD degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field with a specialization in speech recognition, natural language, federated learning or related field
• Solid publication records
• Disciplined scientific thinking
• Strong technical curiosity and ability to invent
• Good understanding of software engineering best practices
• Relevant experience working effectively with science, data processing, and software engineering teams
• Familiarity with traditional pattern recognition and deep learning
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
