Web Software Engineer (Backend)

One of our clients is looking for a Web Software Engineer (Backend) to join their software development team in London to work on new, cutting-edge projects.

They are looking for people with a passion for building based web applications and Cloud Services to power them.

In this role you would be responsible for:

• Full software lifecycle such as design, quote time, and implement, test, and deploy single web applications and Cloud systems
• Liaise and advise our Frontend Software Engineers, UX & Creatives
• Share the knowledge and elevate the engineering teams with code reviews, suggested refactorings, and beneficial external technologies
• Manage deployment and testing pipelines
• Write code while considering performance, scalability, maintainability, and flexibility
• R&D in new technologies and frameworks
• Help manage junior engineers
• State management, Application and Cloud Architecture
• Liasing with Client technical partners who also provide similar Cloud systems
• Create, expand, migrate, backup, monitor and secure Cloud systems
• Help write documentation and external tests for clients and 3rd parties such as providing PostMan files, etc.

Requirements:

• 2+ years commercial
• BSc Computer Science or similar
• Technologies: JavaScript, Node.JS, E2E tests, NoSQL, SQL (we use PostgreSQL), Git, Cloud server experience (Azure, AWS), REST, Authentication (One if the main types such as Basic, OAuth, JWT, etc), Server architecture
• Knowledge of modern JavaScript such as ES7, Classes, Rxjs, Promises and Async
• Deployed commercial systems
• TDD methodology
• Linux knowledge
• Has worked and can work with a team
• able to work in EU
