Responsibilities

AI technology is moving fast and brings a series of ethical and governance challenges. This position focuses on research on AI governance technology and standards.

• AI governance theory and technology research:
  Participate in research on the fundamental theory or methodology of AI governance based on the latest AI progress. Produce insights toward academic and/or industry progress in this area, propose new AI governance frameworks or systematic mechanisms accordingly. Carry out specific technology research for AI (e.g., accountability, agentic AI governance). Conduct research on AI system risk evaluation, classification, and mitigation mechanisms; propose new risk governance frameworks.

• Global AI governance regulation research:
  Follow the latest legislative progress on AI and participate in regulatory requirement analysis to produce insights. Propose updates to the internal governance framework accordingly.

• AI Standards:
  Participate in international or regional AI governance standards efforts by cooperating and communicating with external partners/ecosystems. Contribute to topics such as AI trustworthiness, AI risk governance, and AI governance technologies aligned with the company’s standards strategy.

Requirements

1. Both of the following skills are required:

   • Strong technical background in AI governance, with practical experience in AI governance research or industry projects.

   • Deep understanding of the latest AI progress (e.g., AIGC, agentic AI).

2. A background in applying AI to specific industry verticals is preferred; experience in standardization is also preferred.

3. Master’s degree or above in artificial intelligence, computer science, mathematics (statistics, optimization, applied mathematics), or another relevant research field is required.

   • PhD with a background in artificial intelligence is preferred.

4. Fluent in written and spoken English.

5. Excellent communication skills, teamwork spirit, and a high degree of initiative and autonomy are required.
