Analog Design Engineer
Analog Design Engineer
R&D – Location Reading,
Challenges are our drive, innovation our calling. We are a team of passionate, accomplished professionals making a mark in the semiconductor industry. We’re an innovative leader in high-speed and energy-efficient chip-to-chip link solutions critical to the evolution of the electronics industry, continuously developing to meet the demands of today’s customers and those of tomorrow. If you enjoy being part of a high-tech scale-up and are motivated by pushing your limits and challenging the status quo, we have an opportunity for you.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the design, modelling, and verification of custom analog circuits for high-speed SerDes transceivers in advanced technology nodes
- Design and verify analog circuits in accordance with defined design flows, documentation requirements, and architecture specifications
- When required, support customer-facing activities including requirements clarification, design specifications, performance reporting, and product delivery
- Support integration activities for analog IP and full-chip development
- Collaborate closely with architects, technical leads, analog and digital design engineers, layout teams, integration teams, verification teams, silicon validation groups, and quality teams
Competencies
- Skilled in designing high-speed analog SerDes circuits, including DFT, DFM, and ESD protection, with strong understanding of transistor-level and wireline-communications fundamentals
- Solid understanding of layout approaches and techniques for high-speed and high-precision analog circuits
- Advanced user of EDA tools for analog design and verification—preferably Cadence Virtuoso—including simulation, parasitic extraction, EM modelling, EM/IR analysis, reliability checks, LVS, and DRC
- Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and responsibility; effective communicator and collaborative team member
- Capable of planning, managing, and completing designs on schedule using defined processes, while reporting progress to internal stakeholders
Requirements
- Master’s or Ph.D. in Electronics or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in analog design and layout of key circuits used in multi-gigabit serial data-link transceivers or RF/multitone communication systems (e.g., equalizers, clock generators, CDR circuits, ADCs, serializers, output drivers)
- Expertise in high-speed circuit design including oscillators, PLLs, DLLs, and building blocks such as biasing circuitry, amplifiers, buffers, regulators, filters, ADCs, and DACs
- Experience with modern semiconductor technologies, preferably FinFET-based nodes
- Experience using Ocean, MDL, or similar tools for automation in analog design verification (highly desirable)
