Delta V Engineer
Job Title: DeltaV Automation Engineer (x4)
Location: Ireland (onsite – life sciences manufacturing facility) Belfast
Contract Type: 6-Month Rolling Contract
Start Date: Immediate / Short Notice
About the Role
We are seeking four experienced DeltaV Automation Engineers to join an established engineering team supporting a high-profile life sciences manufacturing facility. These roles will focus on commissioning, testing, and start-up activities within a GMP-regulated environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for engineers with 3–4 years of hands-on DeltaV experience to further develop within a complex, fast-paced pharmaceutical project environment.
Key Responsibilities

Execute commissioning and qualification (C&Q) activities on DeltaV-controlled systems.

Develop, test, and troubleshoot DeltaV software configurations (modules, phases, and graphics).

Support loop checks, I/O verification, and integration testing.

Collaborate with process, CQV, and operations teams to ensure system readiness for production.

Perform software and hardware modifications under change control.

Generate and maintain project documentation in compliance with GMP standards.

Support system handover, FAT/SAT, and site acceptance activities.
Experience & Skills Required
-
3–4 years’ experience working with Emerson DeltaV DCS in commissioning and testing roles.

Background in life sciences, pharmaceutical, or biotech manufacturing environments.

Understanding of batch process control (ISA-88) and GMP documentation.

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
-
Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.

Degree in Automation, Electrical, Chemical, or related Engineering discipline.
Contract Details

Duration: 6-month rolling contract (long-term potential).

Hours: 39 hours per week.

Location: Onsite at a leading life sciences manufacturing facility.

Start Date: ASAP.

Rate: Competitive hourly/daily rate (depending on experience).
