Job Title: DeltaV Automation Engineer (x4)

Location: Ireland (onsite – life sciences manufacturing facility) Belfast

About the Role

We are seeking four experienced DeltaV Automation Engineers to join an established engineering team supporting a high-profile life sciences manufacturing facility. These roles will focus on commissioning, testing, and start-up activities within a GMP-regulated environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for engineers with 3–4 years of hands-on DeltaV experience to further develop within a complex, fast-paced pharmaceutical project environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute commissioning and qualification (C&Q) activities on DeltaV-controlled systems.

• Develop, test, and troubleshoot DeltaV software configurations (modules, phases, and graphics).

• Support loop checks, I/O verification, and integration testing.

• Collaborate with process, CQV, and operations teams to ensure system readiness for production.

• Perform software and hardware modifications under change control.

• Generate and maintain project documentation in compliance with GMP standards.

• Support system handover, FAT/SAT, and site acceptance activities.

Experience & Skills Required

• 3–4 years’ experience working with Emerson DeltaV DCS in commissioning and testing roles.

• Background in life sciences, pharmaceutical, or biotech manufacturing environments.

• Understanding of batch process control (ISA-88) and GMP documentation.

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.

• Degree in Automation, Electrical, Chemical, or related Engineering discipline.

Contract Details

• Duration: 6-month rolling contract (long-term potential).

• Hours: 39 hours per week.

• Location: Onsite at a leading life sciences manufacturing facility.

• Start Date: ASAP.

• Rate: Competitive hourly/daily rate (depending on experience).
