EU Aftermarket Support & GDPR Compliance Specialist

Location: EU based (Remote or Hybrid depending on country)

Reports to: Global Marketing / Commercial Lead
Role Overview
Our client is expanding its European operations and is seeking an experienced Aftermarket Support & GDPR Compliance Specialist to support post market activities across the EU. This role sits at the intersection of technical customer support, medical device data handling, and GDPR compliance, acting as a key liaison between EU customer service teams, technical teams, and global stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Aftermarket Technical Support
- Act as the primary escalation point for complex post market technical and data related issues involving connected medical devices such as CGM, BGM, and insulin pump systems
- Investigate issues related to data synchronization, data accuracy, software connectivity, and device system performance
- Work closely with Technical Support, Software, and Product teams to identify root causes and drive timely resolutions
GDPR & Data Privacy Compliance
- Manage and execute Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs), including access, deletion, and data portability, in accordance with GDPR timelines
- Serve as the first point of contact for EU data privacy inquiries and potential incidents, performing initial assessments and escalating where required
- Maintain accurate Records of Processing Activities (RoPA) related to aftermarket and customer support operations
Process Improvement & Enablement
- Analyse support case trends and customer feedback to generate insights for product, software, and process improvement
- Develop and deliver training for EU Customer Service teams on device troubleshooting, data handling best practices, and GDPR compliant support processes
- Support the creation of clear, user focused guidance related to device usage and data privacy
Candidate Profile
Essential
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in aftermarket support, technical support, or customer service within the medical device or regulated healthcare technology sector
- Strong understanding of GDPR principles, especially in relation to customer data and connected devices
- Excellent problem solving skills with the ability to communicate complex technical or regulatory topics clearly
- Fluent English is required
Preferred
- Experience supporting connected or software enabled medical devices
- Prior exposure to EU regulatory environments or post market surveillance activities
