Expert – Integrated System for Energy Related Product

You will be joining a newly established energy storage lab within a world-leading technology company at their lab Nuremberg.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support to R&D projects in areas such as 2D/3D mechanical design, multiphysics and CFD simulations, PCB layout, and EMC integration.
• Oversee and maintain design and simulation tools across all project teams.
• Plan and coordinate IT hardware resources for design and simulation in collaboration with leadership and technical teams.
• Establish and expand prototyping capabilities for mechanical components, PCBs, and full converter prototypes, working closely with local suppliers and partners.
• Manage engineering staff and allocate resources effectively across projects.
• Drive the development of technical platforms to meet future product and research requirements.

Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of explosion protection and simulation for PV inverters or battery energy storage systems (BESS).
• Proficiency in 2D/3D CAD tools, including library management and design rule control.
• Strong background in multiphysics analysis—thermal, CFD, magnetic, EMC—and PCB design using relevant simulation tools.
• Hands-on experience in mechanical design related to structure, thermal performance, and manufacturability, with a solid understanding of materials science and product design.
• Experience in EMC principles and PCB layout techniques.
• Proven leadership in project management and team development.
• Practical experience in prototyping and manufacturing of mechanical and electronic components.
