Field Service Engineer
A global leader in advanced semiconductor inspection and metrology systems is seeking a Field Service Engineer to join their growing European service team. In this role, you’ll provide hands-on support for highly sophisticated optical and laser-based equipment used by leading semiconductor manufacturers.
Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and calibrate semiconductor inspection and metrology equipment at customer sites.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to optics, lasers, robotics, and precision mechanics.
- Provide on-site and remote support to customers and internal technical teams.
- Train customer engineers on operation, maintenance, and safety procedures.
- Collaborate with global engineering and applications teams to ensure system performance and reliability.
- Prepare detailed service reports and contribute to ongoing process improvements.
- Mentor junior engineers and share best practices within the service team.
Requirements:
- Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or related Engineering discipline.
- 2+ years’ experience in semiconductor equipment service or another high-precision equipment industry.
- Strong troubleshooting ability across mechanical, optical, and electronic subsystems.
- Ability to interpret schematics and understand pneumatics, electronics, and vacuum systems.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across multicultural teams.
- Willingness to travel within Europe and occasionally overseas.
