ICT Technology Insight Engineer
ICT Technology Insight Engineer
Responsibilities:

Technology Monitoring: Attend major international academic conferences, seminars, and workshops across Europe (e.g., WCNC, SPAWC, GlobeCom, ICC). Capture the latest developments in wireless and data communications and produce timely summary reports that highlight innovative technology opportunities.

Technical Analysis: Regularly produce in-depth reports on key trends in wireless communications, AI, and advanced ICT. Assess each technology’s commercial potential, technical challenges, and innovation value. Provide insights and propose solutions that support strategic planning.

Cross-Team Collaboration: Coordinate with internal technical teams to share insights, discuss findings, and support the initiation of R&D projects based on identified opportunities.

Academic Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with leading academic organizations (e.g., IEEE ComSoc, IEEE VTS, IFIP). Establish connections with key researchers and experts in relevant fields.

Knowledge Sharing: Support the organization of internal seminars and technical workshops. Facilitate ongoing exchanges between research, academic, and business communities.

Innovation Scouting: Identify promising start-ups and SMEs in areas such as AI-driven wireless and data communications, with a focus on emerging technologies.
Requirements:

Ph.D. in telecommunications, computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field.

Strong technical background in wireless communications, data communications, and AI.

EU citizenship preferred.

Fluent in English (spoken and written); basic German proficiency required if not a native speaker. Additional languages (e.g., Chinese) are a plus but not mandatory.

Strong analytical skills and a proactive approach to learning new technologies.

Willingness to travel within Germany and across Europe for conferences and workshops.
