Junior CyberSecurity Engineer

Job Responsibilities

• Perform security assessments on communication and IoT products, which includes vulnerability scanning, penetration testing, and risk evaluation.
• Assist in preparing security testing reports and other documentation for both internal and external stakeholders.
• Work under the guidance of senior team members to learn and follow lab security testing processes, methodologies, and standards.
• Stay up-to-date with security regulations and standards, particularly those relevant to Germany and Europe (e.g., GDPR, ENISA, GSMA, 3GPP).
• Participate in team discussions, customer visits, and technical exchanges, presenting your findings when necessary.
• Collaborate with the team on security research, testing activities, and other project tasks.

Essential Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Electronic Communication, or a related field.
• Open to fresh graduate applicants if Masters or PhD, otherwise 1-3 years experience
• A strong interest in cybersecurity, with some practical experience in security testing, vulnerability assessment, or relevant coursework/projects.
• A great willingness and ability to quickly learn new technologies and skills.
• Basic knowledge of security testing tools and methods, along with an eagerness to develop technical skills.
• Effective communication skills in both German and English.
• A proactive, team-oriented attitude and a desire to grow in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Some hands-on experience or coursework in vulnerability assessment or penetration testing.
• Familiarity with German and European security standards and regulations.
• Knowledge of how AI and machine learning are applied in cybersecurity, including AI threat modeling, automated vulnerability detection, or adversarial attack/defense techniques.
