Linux Software Engineer

As a Linux Software Engineer, you’ll play a vital role in shaping the future of open-source software. You’ll collaborate with a talented team of engineers to develop, maintain, and optimize software solutions that power a wide range of devices and applications.

Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and test software solutions for Linux systems.
- Collaborate with teams and the open-source community.
- Troubleshoot and resolve system issues.
- Implement and optimize system capabilities for seamless user experiences.
- Create and maintain software development tools and infrastructure.
- Work directly with hardware and development boards.
- Contribute to open-source communities through presentations and technical contributions.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- Strong understanding of Linux operating systems and open-source software development.
- Experience contributing to open-source projects like Linux Kernel, Zephyr, or Yocto Project.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in computer science fundamentals, including operating systems, computer architecture, algorithms, and data structures.
- Knowledge of Linux system architecture, boot process, kernel design, user space libraries, and multimedia frameworks.
- Experience with Linux system development tools, build processes, scripting, packaging, and test frameworks.
- Linux Kernel development experience, including full Linux OS image creation, configuration, and bring-up.
- Comfort working with hardware and development boards.
- Familiarity with software development methodologies.
- Passion for open-source software and a desire to contribute to the community.
- Ability to work effectively in a distributed, remote team environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively.
- Creative problem-solving skills and a passion for working with new technologies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Fluency in English communication, especially in online environments.
- Basic project management understanding and ability to deliver high-quality work on time.
