R&D Engineer/Researcher – Camera Algorithms

Our client is looking at for an R&D Engineer/Researcher with experience and expertise in:

• Camera Algorithm research and development
• AI image processing
• E2E Multimedia processing system
• Image quality qualifications (Metrics and Methodology)
• Programming skills (to implement proposed algorithm for testing)

EXPERIENCE IS ESSIENTIAL
Passionate Researcher with industrial experience in Camera Algorithm development and published work in the field of Image Processing, familiar with end-to-end Image processing system (from Capture to Display).

The candidate must be experienced software developer to validate his ideas in practical environment. Familiar with Image quality metrics and methods, able to assess the quality of his work.
The job may require to work on algorithms related (but not limited) to:

• Camera capture algorithms with objectives to improve Image Quality,
• Content rendering algorithms with multiple objective and subjective targets,
• Algorithms optimizations for Memory/Power/Performance objectives.
• E2E image/video handling/editing schemes and architectures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Algorithm development
• Testing
• Initial Image Quality evaluations and report.

Person Specification:
List details of Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Qualifications needed to do the job:
Required:

• MsC in relevant field
• Confident programming skills (Python, C, C++)
• Image Quality qualification knowledge
• End to end Imaging system knowledge
• Experience in Algorithm development (preferred with publications)

•       Natural Curiosity and out of the box thinking    Desired:
• E.g. PhD in relevant field
• Passionate photographer
• Resilience to convince in his/her findings/decisions
