Research Engineer – Robot Learning

You will be joining a world-leading technology company at their lab Munich.

Responsibilities

• Conduct and lead research in robot learning methods (reinforcement, imitation, deep learning)
• Work with engineers and researchers to implement solutions in practical robotic platforms
• Publish results in leading journals and conferences
• Guide and support junior team members, fostering innovation and collaboration
• Monitor emerging trends in robotics and AI, applying new insights to ongoing projects

Qualifications

• PhD in Robotics, Computer Vision, Computer Science, Simulation, IT, or a related field
• Strong background in robot learning with a proven record of publications
• Skilled in Python and C++, with hands-on experience using ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch)
• Solid problem-solving and analytical abilities; capable of working independently and in teams
• Excellent written and verbal communication, able to explain complex concepts clearly
• Experience with robotic simulators and deployment on physical robotic systems
