RF Power Amplifier Expert

You will be joining an established RF lab within a world-leading technology company at their lab Munich.

We are looking for an experienced RF Power Amplifier Expert to lead research and development of advanced amplifier architectures for next-generation mobile communication systems. The role focuses on enhancing efficiency, bandwidth, and robustness of power amplifiers used in mobile transmitters.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize broadband power amplifier architectures supporting multi-band RF transmission.
• Innovate in high-efficiency amplifier design, including Envelope Tracking (ET), Doherty architectures, and power supply modulation techniques.
• Design load-insensitive amplifier solutions to ensure consistent performance under varying load conditions.
• Resolve complex technical challenges to align amplifier performance with system and product specifications.
• Actively contribute to ideation, technical reviews, and evaluation of emerging design concepts.

Qualifications

• Master’s or PhD in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Over 10 years of experience in high-efficiency RF power amplifier design for mobile terminal applications.
• Strong background in MMIC circuit design and related simulation tools.
• Expertise in one or more of the following: load-insensitive amplifier design, Envelope Tracking systems, broadband power supply modulators, and Doherty amplifiers.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
• Proactive and analytical mindset with strong problem-solving ability.
• Willingness to travel within Europe and to China when required.
