Senior Backend Engineer

What You’ll Do
? Build High-Performance Backend Services
Design and develop robust, scalable services using Go and Java, contributing directly to the evolution and reliability of our backend platforms.
? Architect Event-Driven Systems
Implement and optimize solutions within an event-driven architecture, using Kafka to support reactive, real-time data flows.
? Solve Complex Time-Based Challenges
Tackle intricate problems related to how Time is processed, synchronized, and presented within a globally distributed scheduling environment.
? Collaborate Across Teams
Work closely with product managers, designers, and engineers to translate challenging requirements into elegant technical designs and intuitive user experiences.
? Champion Engineering Excellence
Promote best practices in code quality, testing, CI/CD, observability, and long-term maintainability.
? Contribute to Technical Growth
Help foster a culture of continuous learning, high standards, and thoughtful engineering.

Our Ideal Candidate
We’re looking for a backend engineer with strong systems thinking and a focus on delivering customer value. Your background should include:
? Strong Computer Science Fundamentals
Deep understanding of data structures, algorithms, distributed systems, and software design principles.
? Proven Backend Engineering Experience
A history of shipping high-quality, production-ready services.
? Go and/or Java Expertise
Hands-on professional experience with one or both languages.
? Event-Driven & Reactive Architecture Skills
Practical experience building reactive systems, especially leveraging Kafka.
? Problem-Solving Mindset
A passion for tackling complex technical challenges and crafting efficient, scalable solutions.
? Cloud & Containerization Experience (Nice to Have)
Familiarity with AWS, GCP, or Azure, as well as Docker and Kubernetes.
? Strong Communication Skills
Ability to clearly explain technical concepts to diverse audiences.
? Collaborative Approach
Comfort working in an agile, fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
