We’re seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to support the design and development of advanced augmented reality hardware for aerospace applications. This role covers the full hardware lifecycle—from requirements definition to design, testing, and system integration—and contributes to improving engineering processes and product quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and integrate complex electronic hardware and components for high-performance systems.
- Lead and execute the full electrical design lifecycle: requirements, architecture, design, test, and manufacturing support.
- Evaluate design options using data-driven methods and select optimal technical approaches.
- Analyze requirements, feasibility, and cost/time trade-offs for new designs.
- Configure and test programmable logic devices (e.g., FPGA/SoC).
- Conduct lab testing and analysis to validate system performance.
- Select components based on performance, reliability, and lifecycle considerations.
- Identify and mitigate electrical or component-level risks affecting system performance.
- Contribute to project planning, cost estimation, and technical documentation.
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 5–8 years of experience in electrical design for complex hardware systems.
- Strong knowledge of:
- High-speed interfaces (DDR3/DDR4, PCIe 3.0/4.0, DisplayPort, USB 3.0, Ethernet)
- FPGAs, SoCs, and embedded system design
- Familiarity with standard lab tools (oscilloscopes, power supplies, spectrum analyzers).
- Experience with aerospace or defense hardware standards (EMI, thermal, vibration testing).
- Proficiency with schematic and PCB tools (Altium preferred).
- Must be a U.S. Citizen eligible for security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with military-grade hardware design and qualification processes.
- Exposure to firmware or embedded software development.
- Background in improving design workflows and documentation practices.
