Senior Frontend Engineer

Our client is looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer who is more than a builder, you’re a feature owner, a UX advocate, and someone who thrives on delivering meaningful, high-quality user experiences. You’ll contribute to our design system, elevate our component architecture, and ensure the frontend remains fast, accessible, resilient, and scalable.

What You Will Do
? Architecture & Standards
Define and guide the technical direction of our frontend ecosystem. You’ll lead the evolution of our Design System and Component Library, ensuring modularity, consistency, and reusability across teams and products.
? Performance Leadership
Own Core Web Vitals and frontend performance metrics. You’ll optimize bundle sizes, build speeds, and asset delivery, while leveraging techniques like React Server Components (RSC) within Next.js to achieve exceptional performance.
? Data & State Strategy
Architect streamlined, efficient state management solutions. You’ll promote the use of localized component state and minimal Context usage, reserving dedicated libraries for more complex flows. You’ll also optimize API interactions via Apollo Client and GraphQL, ensuring efficient caching and data synchronization.
? Developer Experience (DX)
Act as a core stakeholder in improving the developer experience. You’ll refine CI/CD pipelines, enhance local development tooling, and create or maintain documentation that empowers the engineering organization.
? Accessibility & UX
Champion accessibility (WCAG compliance) and inclusive design. You’ll ensure that user experiences remain intuitive, stable, and reliable across devices, screen sizes, and assistive technologies.
? Code Quality & Mentorship
Lead through high-quality code, rigorous reviews, and clear standards for testing, security, and architecture. You’ll enforce TypeScript best practices and mentor mid-level engineers to cultivate technical excellence.

Our Ideal Candidate
We’re looking for someone who views the frontend as a strategic product foundation and brings strong architectural intuition and experience.
? System-Level Thinking
6+ years of professional frontend development experience, with at least 4+ years using React and TypeScript in large-scale applications. You’ve designed, owned, and shipped complex features that set or influence technical direction at a systems level.
? Performance Expertise
Deep knowledge of browser internals, runtime behavior, and network performance. Demonstrated ability to diagnose bottlenecks and deliver substantial performance improvements under demanding conditions.
? Foundational Mastery
Expert-level understanding of JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and core browser APIs. You can write efficient, high-quality code without frameworks and understand how frameworks like React operate under the hood.
? Data Flow Expertise
Advanced knowledge of GraphQL, Apollo Client, and caching patterns. Experience designing efficient API contracts and minimizing unnecessary client-side state.
? Communication & Influence
Strong collaboration skills with Product Managers and UX Designers. You can translate product goals and user insights into strong technical solutions that elevate the user experience.
