Senior Manager Supply Planner

Position: Production Planning Manager – Smoking Cessation
Reports to: Senior Manager, Regional Planning

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Production Planning Manager to lead production planning and scheduling for Smoking Cessation products. This role will drive operational excellence through strategic planning, cross-functional collaboration, and process optimization to ensure efficient manufacturing and on-time product delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement robust production planning strategies for Smoking Cessation products.

• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders (manufacturing, supply chain, sales, and marketing) to ensure smooth execution of production plans.

• Analyze demand trends and market data to align production schedules with business objectives.

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of production planners to foster a culture of efficiency and innovation.

• Continuously evaluate and enhance production planning systems to meet evolving business needs.

• Oversee and approve production schedules to ensure optimal manufacturing performance and timely customer delivery.

• Leverage analytical tools to interpret production data, capacity utilization, and resource allocation.

• Identify and resolve operational bottlenecks to maintain consistent production flow.

• Align production capabilities with market demand, revenue goals, and customer requirements.

• Present production performance reports to senior management, offering data-driven recommendations for improvement.

• Champion continuous improvement initiatives to increase profitability and resource efficiency.

• Manage planning-related budgets and address order fulfillment or backorder challenges proactively.

• Participate in new product launch planning and contribute to accurate forecasting and production readiness.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Supply Chain Management, Operations, or a related field.

• 8–10 years’ experience in production planning within the healthcare, pharmaceutical, or related manufacturing industries.

• Demonstrated expertise in sales, operations, or category management.

• Proven ability to manage complex planning processes and deliver results in a regulated environment.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex business data.

• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

• Experience working in a matrix organization and collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
