About the Role

Our client is a growing renewable energy company specialising in off-grid power solutions. Due to a newly onboarded customer in Indiana, they are looking to hire a Mandarin-speaking Technical Support Engineer to support off-grid solar and energy storage products.

This is a customer-facing technical support role, focused on troubleshooting, system configuration, and product support for off-grid applications. The role is remote-based within the US, with occasional travel to customer sites in Indiana and other locations depending on project needs.

The hiring process is fast, with a single interview stage.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for off-grid energy products including solar systems, inverters, batteries, and charge controllers

• Support customers and partners via phone, email, and remote tools in both Mandarin and English

• Diagnose and troubleshoot system-level issues related to installation, configuration, and operation

• Assist customers with system setup, commissioning, and fault resolution

• Travel to customer sites when required to provide on-site technical support or assistance

• Work closely with internal engineering, product, and sales teams to resolve complex technical cases

• Document technical issues, solutions, and best practices clearly

Required Qualifications

• Fluent in Mandarin Chinese and English

• Must have full right to work in the United States (no visa sponsorship available)

• Experience in technical support, application engineering, or field support roles

• Background in renewable energy, solar power systems, energy storage, or related electrical systems

• Solid understanding of electrical systems and system-level troubleshooting

• Willingness to travel occasionally based on customer and project requirements

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with off-grid solar systems or off-grid energy solutions

• Experience supporting inverters, batteries, or energy storage systems

• Customer-facing technical support experience

• Electrical or mechanical engineering background
