Technology Planning Expert

We’re looking for a Technology Planning Expert to join our forward-thinking team. This role is crucial for shaping our future by identifying and nurturing cutting-edge technologies. You’ll be at the heart of our innovation efforts, guiding strategic decisions and fostering collaboration across the organization and with external partners.

Responsibilities

• Scout and Evaluate: Deeply research emerging technologies and assess their commercial viability through literature reviews, trend analysis, and simulations.
• Inform Leadership: Create compelling technology analysis reports for senior leaders, including chief scientists and executives, to guide strategic direction.
• Feasibility Studies: Conduct early-stage feasibility studies and simulations to help define our technical roadmaps.
• Drive Innovation: Develop and lead corporate and business unit innovation programs, ensuring they align with our long-term objectives.
• Build Partnerships: Engage with external researchers, suppliers, and ecosystem collaborators to foster a vibrant innovation network.
• Influence Development: Shape product development strategies by working closely with cross-functional teams.
• Support Prototyping: Assist with prototyping efforts for preliminary technical assessments when needed.
• Facilitate Knowledge Exchange: Organize and lead internal seminars and workshops, promoting active technical discussions with academic and industry partners.

Essential Requirements

• Education: A PhD with at least 5 years of industry or academic experience in a relevant field.
• Technical Expertise: Proven knowledge in one or more of these specialized areas (multiple positions are available):
• VLSI: System design, fabrication, and packaging.
• Advanced Semiconductor Technologies: Heterogeneous integration (3DIC), optoelectronics, thermal management, and back-end testing.
• Multi-physics Modeling & Simulation: Particularly for electronics.
• Imaging Systems: Pixel design, circuit architecture, and imaging pipelines.
• Computing Architectures: CPU/GPU cores and AI accelerators.
• AI/ML: Algorithms and hardware implementations (processors/ASICs).
• Low-Power Design: From device to system level.
• Wireless Communication Systems: Especially the synergy between AI and RAN.

• Language Skills: Fluency in English (written and spoken) is required; Chinese proficiency is a plus.
• Presentation Skills: Proficient in PowerPoint and Excel, able to distil complex concepts into clear, impactful presentations.
