My client is a global technology leader  looking for a Chief Technical Leader of database in its Edinburgh Research Centre with experience in database engine research or development. The successful candidate will have at least participated in the implementation of a database product: either relation database or NoSQL, such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, KV or Graph Database.

Responsibilities for  Chief Technical Leader (Database)

• Build and lead the database team in Edinburgh.
• Join the strategy and business plan of database technology, identify the key technologies and lead the team build the competence of database solution.
• Support the cooperation with the Informatics school of the University of Edinburgh in graph database and relation database areas, and help the team transfer the results from academia to industry.

Key Skill for Chief Technical Leader (Database)

• More than 8 years’ experience in database research or development.
• Participated in at least one database development or open source project
• Team management experience.
• Right to work in UK.
