Senior Technical Program Manager – Software Development / Project Management / Video Streaming

We are recruiting for a Senior Technical Program Manager with extensive experience in project management, and a background or understanding of software development to join my client in the London area on a permanent basis.

My client is globally known company across multiple different domains including e-commerce, consumer, mobile web development and in this particular department, video streaming. As a Senior Technical Program Manager you should have a strong background in software development, excellent project management skills and ideally a passion for TV and film.

Required skills

• BSc/MSc in Computer Science or related field
• Previous program management experience
• Highly technical and hands-on software engineering experience
• Experience of risk management, business risk analysis and making complex business/risk trade-off recommendations and decisions
• Experience in planning and delivery of enterprise-level software development programs
• Thorough understanding of software development lifecycle from conception to delivery
• Proven data analysis, problem solving and project management skills
• Demonstrated bias for action with strengths in issue-resolution, ability to work in a deadline driven work environment, attention to detail, and ability to multitask
• Experience with service-oriented architectures and web services

• Demonstrated ability to understand and discuss technical concepts, and a consideration for scale, efficiency and performance
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences
• A proven track record for being detail-oriented with a demonstrated ability to self-motivate and follow-through on projects
• Proven experience working with senior leadership and experience defining and delivering on a product roadmap
