Hypervisor / Virtualization Engineer / Researcher – Low Level / Operating System / Kernel

We are recruiting for a Hypervisor / Virtualization Engineer / Researcher with solid understanding of mainstream OS solutions, kernels and modern hypervisors to join our client onsite in Munich on a permanent basis.

Our client is a globally known mobile and tech development company and as a Hypervisor / Virtualization Engineer / Researcher you will be focused on developing and performing research on hypervisors, and low level hardware virtualization technologies on ARM and other processor architectures, and will work on numerous projects within different domains, including Smart Mobile, Telecom, Autonomous Driving, IoT, and Industry 4.0.

Required Skills

  • Master or PhD in computer science, Operating Systems, virtualization or other related disciplines
  • Deep technological understanding of mainstream OS solutions, kernels and modern hypervisors.
  • Comfortable developing with kernel-level or bare metal C and assembly languages.
  • Familiarity with processor hardware virtualization features.
  • Fluency in English

Desirable skills

  • Knowledge of the ARMv8 CPU architecture and/or the ARM virtualization extensions
  • Familiarity with safety critical and/or embedded systems
  • German and/or Chinese language is a plus
