Senior Polymer Film Process Engineer

Position: Senior Polymer Film Process Engineer

Location: Manchester, NH

Salary: $150k+

We are seeking a Senior Polymer Film Process Engineer for our client, responsible for the optimization and scaling of film extrusions an biazial stretching operations. Interfacing with equipment OWMs, production tolling companies and the operations team on schedules, production capabilities and quality systems

Our client is a revolutionary renewable energy company – with a mission to research, develop and test advanced materials for manufacturing batteries.

Responsible for leading and directing the manufacturing team, this person will establish and execute the roadmap of prototype battery cells and collaborate with the management team in creating a long term roadmap for the teams solution.

Responsibilities

• Ramping film manufacturing from pilot-line to full manufacturing lines.

• Driving yield improvements in film manufacturing process to deliver on key performance metrics.

• Reporting on progress of manufacturing operations in terms of productivity, yield, and quality, as well as the development of corrective action plans to meet aggressive world-class manufacturing and quality objectives.

• Develop quality checkpoints and implement world-class process monitoring, tracking and reporting.

Qualifications/Experience

• B.S. or graduate degree in mechanical, materials science or manufacturing engineering with 4+ years of hands-on polymer film manufacturing and process engineering expertise.

• Extensive experience and record of accomplishment with scaling film extrusion from lab through pilot and commercialization phases.

• Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with process equipment and controls.

• Strong analytical ability and familiarity with SPC and analytical software such as MiniTab.

• Experience managing the installation and maintenance of manufacturing and testing equipment.
