Android Performance Engineer – Permanent – Onsite in Warsaw, Poland

As an Android Performance Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our client’s Android devices perform at their best. You will be responsible for measuring and optimizing the performance of the platform, drivers, applications, and frameworks on both mobile and wearable devices.

You will be working closely with a team of experts to find and fix issues that arise in the field, and will also be expected to proactively identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.

You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of tasks, including:

• Analyzing and solving software problems,
• Optimizing the technology stack,
• Establishing and monitoring key performance metrics,
• And participating in the development and refactoring of OS sub-projects.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

• At least 5 years of experience with Android OS and application architecture, as well as experience with performance analysis and improvements.
• A good command of Java/C/C++
• Familiarity with toolchains, cross-compilation, profilers, debuggers, and other performance analysis tools.
• Additionally, you will need excellent communication skills in English.

A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred, as is prior experience working on mobile phone system maintenance teams. Knowledge of system profiling and optimization techniques, UML diagrams, and hardware architectures, such as Arm Cortex-A/m4, will also be beneficial.
