Working with a Global leader in lithium-ion battery manufacturing and is known for providing high-quality and long-lasting battery solutions for electric vehicles and energy storage systems.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Lithium Metal Battery Engineer to work on-site with our client in China, and grow their early career further by working with some of the world leaders in lithium-ion solid-state technology.

Responsibilities:

• Strong knowledge of SEM (scanning electron microscopy), EDS (energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy), XRD (X-ray diffraction), XPS (X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy), TGA (thermogravimetric analysis), DSC (differential scanning calorimetry), and DLS (dynamic light scattering) to characterize the surface properties of anode materials.
• Co-optimize electrolyte and anode materials for optimal system-level performance and improved SEI properties.
• Experience in transitioning new product concepts into the product development pipeline and building battery cells from coin cells to pouch cells
• Perform electrochemical tests including cyclic voltammetry, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, common potentiostats and galvanostatic methods, analyze and manage data
• Analyze and manage data, as well as practice proper laboratory procedures in compliance with Corporate HS&E policy and maintain a safe lab environment.

The Candidate

The client is looking for a highly skilled professional with a degree in materials science, chemical engineering, chemistry, or related fields with experience in the battery field. The ideal candidate should have at least 2 years of commercial post-grad experience.

The successful applicant should have knowledge in the design of lithium metal chemistry and surface design of anode for next-generation batteries, as well as experience in material selection and synthesis, cell design, and electrode fabrication.

The applicant must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, exercising independent judgment and a high degree of initiative.
