Senior Piping Designer

Piping Design Coordinator – AVEVA E3D / PED / CD / DevOps / Azure / AWS Cloud

I am currently looking for a Piping Design Coordinator for one of our best clients, an international cutting-edge company, well-known for the creation of innovative, high-quality services.

Location: Lund, Sweden.

Start: May 1st, 2023.

Assignement durantion: 6-month contract, possible extensions.

Must-have

• MSc. or similar degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 7+ years of experience in piping design work
• Experience in full-lifecycle piping projects with their phases and interfaces
• Familiarity with pipe fittings and piping
• Ability to deliver a complete detailed pipe design
• Experience in collaborating between detail design and installation/manufacturing
• Understanding of quality and final documentation
• Familiarity with 3D plant tools
• Good knowledge of common norms and standards applicable to the process and mechanical engineering and design, specifically PED
• Experience in Nuclear piping or Oil & Gas design work.

Main scope and requirements of the assignment

• The main task is to identify and capture needs, related to Piping design in current projects while coordinating and driving detailed technical solutions. This is with the aim of relieving project management and making it more efficient for the E3D designers.
• Working in collaboration with a project in the customer organization.
• Cooperating with other divisions.
• Being involved in the coordination of the design activities together with the Design Lead
• Engineers, contractors, and designers.
• Participating in coordination and integration meetings.
• Communicating technically with suppliers of components/ manufacturing/ installation.
• In order to excel in this position you have to be problem-solving oriented in a pragmatic way while having great integrity and complying with established procedures and regulations.
