ASIC Project Leader

ASIC Project Leader / Project Manager – Grenoble or Toulouse (onsite / hybrid)

We have partnered with a Semiconductor company developing state-of-the-art fully custom integrated Circuits (IC) combined with a complete management of the supply chain.

Founded 6 years ago, this business works with customers from Healthcare, industrial, IoT/AI, automotive, aeronautics and digital security markets (or applications).

From the outset, dedicated to the design ASIC/SoC solutions on state-of-the-art technologies, the team strengthened its expertise in nanopower, sensor/MEMS analog and mixed-signal interfaces, ultrasound, and power management.

As the business expands we are now looking for an ASIC Project Leader / Project Manager to join the team in Grenoble or Toulouse.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the feasibility, development, and prototyping of ICs as well as supervise the realization of their design by guaranteeing quality and compliance with customer needs.
• Contribute to the definition of the complete offer (development plan, planning, risks and opportunities) and the establishment of the overall quote in interaction with the sales team.
• Manage the development of integrated circuits for projects of medium complexity in terms of technical challenge, number of participants and level of risk
• Ensure follow-up and are a source of proposals for developments in the management plan development and quality of the project in close collaboration with the design and production teams.
• Anticipate and monitor the risks and obstacles that may arise during the project propose mitigation plans and defend them to customers when necessary
• Manage the process of resolving technical problems during the design and validation of silicon.
• Lead debates on design choices in search of the best compromise in the interest of the customer, and with a view to continuous improvement of design and verification methods.

Qualifications:

• 4+ years of experience as a Project Manager or Project Leader in a Semiconductor environment.
• Experience in different stages of designing an ASIC/SoC: from specifications to validation of prototypes on silicon.
• Design experience is a plus.
• Ability to establish a design quote.
• Ability to question design flows, and working methods.
