Automation Engineer – Beckhoff – PLC / SCADA / HMI / Motion Control

We are recruiting for a Beckhoff Automation Engineer to join an international multidisciplinary research center under construction since 2014 in Lund, Sweden. Its main research instrument will be the world’s most powerful pulsed neutron source.

Key Responsibilities

• Analysis and definition of requirements for the development of process control systems for the Accelerator, Target Station, and NSS components
• Prepare functional specifications in conjunction with process engineers
• Specification of PLC configurations and control architectures
• Prepare specifications for PLC and HMI SW development
• PLC development for minor changes or upgrades

Desirable Skills

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in engineering, technology or science
• 5+ years in developing, integrating, commissioning industrial automation system
• 5+ years of PLC development with Beckhoff TwinCAT3, TwinCAT Motion, TwinSAFE
• Experience in verification and validation of industrial automation systems
• Experience with Python
• Experience with Linux OS
