Europe Business Development Manager (m/f/d)

Location: Milan

The MCU16 Business Unit develops Digital Signal Controllers (DSCs) and Microcontrollers (MCUs) with high performance, flexible peripherals and a complete ecosystem of software and hardware tools. Solutions target real time control applications such as advanced motor control, digital power conversion, and other time critical functional safety and secure applications. The MCU16 marketing team defines, launches and promotes these products and solutions to grow revenue and solve complex design challenges.

What will you do in this position?

Reporting to the MCU16 European Business Development Manager, you will be part of the MCU16 Business Unit that focuses on dsPIC33 and PIC24 controllers. As a Business Development Manager, you will drive business opportunities and grow revenue with new design wins at key accounts in Europe.

Business Development Managers work with our field sales and application engineers, subject matter experts, and our R&D engineers to find and drive opportunities through the funnel. The ideal candidate will demonstrate good technical background, customer focused attitude and the ability to work and lead others in the organization.

Key job responsibilities/duties include:

  • Drive business opportunities, utilizing the complete range of our capabilities to maximize revenue and margin.
  • Focus on target end equipment and key clients to drive maximum growth.
  • Cross-BU collaboration to maximize content at customers.
  • Work closely with the field and factory teams to develop major customer program business proposals.
  • Support field teams to drive design wins and provide support to our customers across Europe.
  • Generate and deliver training materials for field sales and distribution partners.
  • Execute product introduction plans including launch, channel training, promotion, pricing and selling tools.
  • Provide customer and market requirements with strategic insight to the product team.

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • BSEE or equivalent, with experience in technical marketing and business development.
  • Experience in the embedded control or microcontroller market is required.
  • Semiconductor business model knowledge and specifically microcontroller business is a significant advantage.
  • Motor control and/or digital power application experience and/or market knowledge is an advantage.
  • MBA degree with marketing or financial emphasis is an advantage.
  • Customer account management experience.
  • Excellent communication skills including messaging, presentation development and delivery and listening skills.
  • English-fluent.
