Computer Graphics Research Engineer – Rendering Algorithms

W are currently seeking an engineer to join our client at their well-funded private R&D lab in Zurich to work on research related to the application of real-time rendering algorithms in a cloud setting.

You will be developing algorithms to scale image generation and reduce image generation costs in different settings.

We are looking for an individual with a strong research / academic foundation and an interest in the future of computer graphics and rendering, who is also wanting to analyze and contribute to papers and conferences whilst also implementing their knowledge of the latest algorithms.

This position is full-time and will pay very competitively for Zurich.

The successful candidate should demonstrate experience in some or all of the following:

• PhD or MSc in Computer Science or similar related to Computer Graphics.
• Familiarity with rendering algorithms, including path tracer, ray tracing etc.
• Experience writing code in C++, OpenGL, Vulkan, Shader and Compute languages.
• It would be desirable to have experience working with different material models, animation systems, virtual human models etc.
• Ability to read academic papers, write patents etc.
• Fluency in English.
