Our client is a high growth Robotics scale up based in Munich, and are looking for someone to manage and grow their Computer Vision team.
As a Computer Vision Team Lead, your primary responsibilities will revolve around effectively managing and guiding our Computer Vision team while contributing to the strategic development of the company. Your role will be pivotal in advancing cutting-edge technology in the field of modern robotics.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with stakeholders to understand their needs and requirements related to Computer Vision functionalities and interfaces.
- Oversee the implementation and maintenance of software libraries pertaining to computer vision.
- Play a vital role in shaping the architectural and strategic direction
- Lead and manage 2-week sprints within a Large Scale Scrum Framework, ensuring efficient project delivery.
- Effectively allocate team resources to optimize productivity and meet project goals.
- Foster the growth of your team by scaling up, managing, and mentoring team members. This includes conducting employee appraisals and performance reviews.
- Leverage your technical expertise to mentor engineers and provide leadership in resolving complex technology challenges.
- Ensure team engagement, facilitate knowledge transfer, and promote the professional development of team members.
- Monitor and report on the workload, resource allocation, and results of your team’s projects.
- Actively participate in recruitment efforts for the team and facilitate the onboarding of new team members.
Essential Skills
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in software development in the fields of computer vision or robotics.
- At least 2 years of technical project management experience in a complex setting.
- Proficiency in at least one modern computer vision or robotics framework.
- Exceptional communication and mentoring skills, with a strong command of the English language.
- Ideally, experience in leading international teams in a complex development environment.
- Results-driven mindset with excellent organizational skills.
- Academic background with a completed Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering, with a focus on Computer Vision, Machine Learning, or Artificial Intelligence.
Beneficial Skills
- Experience in the industry automation, robotics, vision, and control domains.
- Familiarity with tools such as Jira and GitLab.
- Hands-on experience with LeSS (Large Scale Scrum) and Jira.
- Contributions to open-source libraries would be a valuable asset.
