Senior Researcher – Data Science – Routing

Long-term Research Contract – Amsterdam

We are currently recruiting for a new research opening with our client based in Amsterdam

They are developing a new mapping and navigation service, and currently are expanding their research teams.

They can offer an initial consultancy contract, with extensions into the long-term project.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelors or Master’s degree in scientific discipline

• 5+ years’ experience in applied research projects, preferably in routing algorithms, route choice modelling, ETAs, positioning data, traffic assignment, large scale routing, graph algorithms etc.

• Knowledge of Python or Julia
• Good command of scientific computing tools – pandas, dask, scikit-learn, pycaret, keras, tensorflow, jupyter-lab, etc.
• Experience with building ETL pipelines leveraging latest technologies
• Understanding on statistical principles and machine learning models

Ph.D.’s in Machine Learning, Graph Search, Routing or similar Data-focused field are preferred.

Also Useful:

Experience using cloud services (e.g. AWS, Google Cloud, Azure)

Domain expertise in the area of location-based services (e.g. mapping, localisation, routing, traffic)

Experience with devops (Docker, k8s, vagrant, AWS, google cloud)

Adherence with sustainable coding and craftsmanship principles
