Data Scientist – SQL / Object Oriented Programming / Python/ NumPy / Pandas

 We are recruiting for a Data Scientists with extensive experience in Python (Pandas / NumPy), SQL and Object Oriented Programming) to join my client in the Staines area (around 40 minutes from London) on an initial 6 month contract.

My client is a global name in tech and mobile development and as a Data Scientist, you will be responsible for creatively analyzing patterns in boundless quantities of existing and new data with complex data modelling, machine learning or statistical analysis and visualizing large sets of data to extract actionable items from information, across diverse customer-facing platforms.

As a Data Scientists, , you should have the following skills:

• Masters, PhD, or equivalent experience in a quantitative field (Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, ML & Artificial Intelligence, etc.)
• Programming proficiency in Python (NumPy, pandas etc.), R, or Octave
• Data collection, data fusion, statistical data modelling and evaluation experience in above languages
• Familiar with SQL and relational databases (Amazon Redshift, MongoDB, etc.)
• Prior experience with one or more of the following: regression, clustering, classification, decision trees, statistical model
• Excellent communication, team work and a results-oriented attitude
• Proficiency in problem solving and a self-starter

Desirable Skills

• Experience in supply and demand forecasting and marketing analysis
• Strong experience in time series data modelling in R/Python
• Experience with collecting and processing data from various sources and formats (REST APIs, different database technologies, etc.)
