At European Recruitment we are working alongside a Bressanone based software startup that are accelerating technology adoption in industrial automation, disrupting the industry through innovative computer vision and machine learning research and development.
Responsibilities:
- You’ll be converting state-of-the-art research to reliably working prototypes and keep up-to-date with the latest computer vision and deep learning developments.
- You’ll identify the limitations of state-of-the-art research in relation to industry needs, as well as addressing them through focused development.
- You’ll customize and train the latest deep learning model architectures on a plurality of camera and sensor data to handle complex scenarios of production, inspection, quality control, and other industrial processes.

Requirements:
- MSc. with 3+ years of experience or PhD in Computer Science or related field, preferably in a deep-tech or ML company.
- Strong communicator in writing and person in English (must), preferably also in Italian and/or German.
- Ability to deep-dive into research papers, down to a technical depth required to translate them into code using both existing toolkits and self-developed code.
- Hands-on experience with computer vision and deep learning frameworks (such as OpenCV, Open3D, PCL, PyTorch, PyTorch Lightning, Tensorflow, Jax).
- Ability in coding computer vision and machine learning algorithms in Python and/or C++ in a readable, clean and maintainable manner. Looking at you, list comprehension junkies..
- Experience in CNNs, vision transformers and foundation models; interest in multimodal, diffusion models and synthetic dataset generation.
- We highly evaluate a data-centric approach. You know how to handle datasets, from data collection to cleaning and storage. Knowledge of MLOps best practices is a plus.
- Experience on training models on multi-gpu and/or cloud infrastructure; you know the basics of AWS EC2, S3, Sagemaker or equivalent (preferred).
- Publications in top tier conferences is a plus.
