Digital ASIC Design Engineer

A fast scaling Semiconductor company are looking for an experienced Digital Design Engineer to join their growing team in the North Randstad area.

As an ASIC Design Engineer you will play a crucial role in the development of advanced integrated circuits for CPU chips. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will be responsible for the design, verification, and implementation of complex ASICs, ensuring they meet performance, power, and area requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with architecture, design, and verification teams to define ASIC specifications and requirements.
• Design and implement digital ASIC blocks and subsystems using industry-standard tools and methodologies.
• Conduct RTL coding, synthesis, and static timing analysis (STA) to achieve design goals.
• Perform functional and formal verification of ASIC designs to ensure correctness and compliance with specifications.
• Participate in design reviews and provide input for improving design quality and efficiency.
• Work closely with physical design and backend teams to achieve timing closure and physical implementation.
• Contribute to silicon bring-up, debugging, and characterization of ASICs.
• Stay updated with the latest technologies, methodologies, and tools in ASIC design.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in ASIC design, verification, and implementation.
• Proficiency in RTL design using Verilog or VHDL.
• Experience with ASIC synthesis, STA, and EDA tools (Synopsys, Cadence, etc.).
• Solid understanding of digital design fundamentals, computer architecture, and ASIC design flow.
• Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python or TCL for automation tasks.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to present complex ideas clearly.
