Field Application Engineer- semiconductor / Power Electronics

We are partnered up with a well-established Semiconductor organisation who are a designer developer and global supplier of a broad range of power semiconductors who are looking for a Field Application Engineer to join their team.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct technical seminars, work closely with customers and distributors, and improve product designs. showcasing expertise in power semiconductors.
• Demonstrate a strong R&D background and proficiency in MOSFET, IGBT, and Power IC technologies.
• Specialising in Motor Control and Drive Applications as well as inverter solutions for Power Tools and Home Appliances and engaging with Key Accounts.
• Travel within the EMEA region and potentially to Asia (approximately 30% travel, with 70% office time).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical/Electronic Engineering or related fields.
• 5-10+ years of experience in R&D or Field Application Engineering roles, specifically in power electronics, motor control and motor drive applications.
• Proven experience in R&D or Field Application Engineering within the semiconductor industry.
• Willingness to travel extensively within the EMEA region and occasionally to Asia.
• Excellent team collaboration skills and a customer-centric approach.
• Proficiency in German is preferable; an interest or proficiency in the Chinese language is advantageous.
