Field Application Engineer – Semiconductor / Sensors / Flow converters

**ENGLISH AND GERMAN SPEAKING REQUIRED**

This is an opportunity to join a well funded and ambition semiconductor start-up company who specialize in environmental sensor technologies. They are currently searching for a customer centric engineer who to join them as a Field Application Engineer to join the marketing and sales team, responsible for their environmental sensors, sensor interfaces, flow converters and wake-up receivers.

Responsibilities:

• Providing technical support to distribution partners or directly to customers in Europe, Americas and partly Asia.
• Close interactions with the marketing teams, the distribution partners and with the engineering team on a consistent basis.
• Working mainly from Stutensee or Reutlingen but should be open for travelling to give on-site support and trainings (est. ca. 20%).
• Responding to technical customer questions, schematic & layout reviews, creating sample software
• Reproduction and verification of customer issues and identification of solutions or workarounds
• Trainings for our distribution partners and customers

Requirements:

• An academic degree in electrical engineering or similar direction (semiconductor or measurement technology etc)
• Good knowledge of the physics and signal processing related to sensor systems
• Considerable know-how in electronics development (hardware and software)
• Good knowledge of programming languages (C++, ideally Assembler, Labview)
• The ability to identify technical problems and propose solution strategies
• Able to adapt to a very dynamic work environment and changing customer requirements.
• Good negotiation and communication skills as well as good critical thinking, analysing and problem-solving skills
• Effective written and oral communication skills in English and German
