Field Application Engineer
Job description
First-line customer support, main entry point for the technical interaction with the customers, eco-system partners and VARs. Field of focus: wireless ICs and modules e.g. for Bluetooth Low Energy.
- Develops, maintains and deploys the product support package (technical information, application notes, datasheets, example code, development kits, reference designs, demonstrators), based on inputs and needs of the sales managers and/or of customers.
- Keeps track of technical capabilities of main eco-system partners and value-added resellers, as well as their product portfolio and offerings and maintains EM’s network in this space by providing training, support and first-line technical assistance to these partners.
- Interfaces internally with the BU team for issues requiring expert knowledge.
- Complements the efforts of the sales managers in daily customer interactions.

Professional requirements
- Min. Bachelor in Electronic Engineer
- +5 years experience in embedded electronics / Telecom engineer
- Solid knowledge of wireless technology: Bluetooth, etc. Hardware and Firmware knowledge, or field application engineering in such domains, is a strong assets
- Being familiar with BLE or similar protocols, with 32-bit development tools/environments, or with wireless tools/instruments, are valuable assets
