GNSS Engineer – Signal Processing / Receivers / RF

We are looking for an enthusiastic GNSS Engineer to join an innovative deep-tech organization at their office in Delft.

As a GNSS Engineer your responsibilities will include:

• Design & implement a state machine focusing on IoT radio systems.
• Collaborate extensively with firmware specialists to formulate signal processing models, design baseband processing algorithms, conduct chip validation, & optimize system performance.
• Engage in embedded software development tailored for Software Defined Radios.
• Foster close collaboration with RFIC designers to comprehend, assess, & mitigate non-idealities inherent in practical IoT device configurations.

As a GNSS Engineer your skills will include:

• Master’s degree in communication theories & signal processing or similar disciplines
• Demonstrated proficiency in at least one of the following domains:
• channel estimation & equalization, detection & estimation theory, signal propagation, stochastic processes, modulation theory, algorithmic development, interference mitigation or receiver design
• Knowledgeable about various wireless protocols including but not limited to 5G NR, LTE, WiFi, IoT, & Bluetooth
• Proficient in utilizing MATLAB/Python &/or C/C++/System C for modeling purposes
• Profound understanding of GNSS systems & receivers is a plus
• Familiarity with demodulation & decoding algorithms
• Sound understanding of the fundamental aspects of physical layer operations in wireless systems, encompassing tasks such as detection/acquisition, synchronization, parameter estimation, & tracking
• Knowledgeable about common analog & RF impairments frequently encountered in wireless communication systems
• Experience in employing fixed-point modeling techniques for hardware & firmware validation of communication systems
